Could the nerf be coming for IWAY (as well as other groups who use spirts) in C2?

i hope so... iway has been oppressing tombs for way too long. Not because it's overpowered, but because it's way too overused and makes finding non-iway groups extremely hard.

how will that skill help? Spirits die liek woah already :|... that seems like a counter mainly for the very powerful ritualist spirits [isn't there a skill that will just auto kill a spirit, no questions asked?..

I can see it now protection monks throwing vital blessing on their ritualists spirits. One things for sure the assassin and ritualist are certainly going to change the arenas a lot I think. Specially that assassin who'll be jumping all over the place doing quick damage and jumping back.

*shudder*
The biggest iaway now are the SmiteWay groups that blend smiting/bonding/and 4 iway W/R in one group, and also the VIM Trappers that appeared after the factions event. I agree, it needs to be nerfed and i believe if it continues it will be nerfed.

These days a perosn who wants to get into Heroes Ascent teams needs to have rank 4 or better, but how will you get rank if you cant get into a decent team? O_o

iway itself isnt that strong, decent balanced teams take it out. its just the other "gimmick" groups that can't beat it. I guess anet realizes it and is adding skills for a gimmick group that can take it down. when ch2 comes out iway will probably be obsolete anyway, so it may have no real affect.

Wow, I never thought that people actually considered the Winnowing (and sometimes Pred Season) dropped by IWAY groups the root of their strength.

Old skill removed from the game with the change of Nature Rituals from Global Enchantments to Spirits.

Holy crap that is one bad signet.
Aaaaanyways, the skill that destroys spirits right out is an elite ritualist skill. only 5 energy, target touched spirit is destroyed, and nearby party members are healed for at least around 100. thing is, this skill has a VERY short recharge time. When factions is released, if many builds end up being heavily spirit reliant, this skill + spirit walk will really mess them up. Wouldn't take one person long to teleport and saw through every enemy spirit whilst healing the party. I forsee this getting dented with the nerf bat, most likely by significantly increasing recharge time. Heh. I would have used this during factions preview weekend, but aboRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOely no ritualist i ever ran into bothered to bring anti-interrupt, and interrupting their long spirit casts proved to work just fine, and it's not like the spirits are very tough in the first place.

I can see it doing the opposite. N/Rt's with the Weapon spells and the healing spirits, IWAY will be even better. Also, most IWAY people don't do this (no skill :P) but MATH do, they dump dust trap and others next to spirits, therefore reducing the killing time.
EDIT:
Saw Unnatural Signet, it was around when I started (I think) and wow...15 sec cast time. Thats just insanity

Nothing a monk casts will effect a spirit laid by a ritualist.

Though if you were smart enough to look through the ritualist skill list, you'll find that there are skills that allow you to heal spirits when they are succesfully cast.

I don't see any IWAY nerf in the future I mean they made an IWAY NPC build in the Zaishen Challenges and training area. Seems to me IWAY is here to stay. Sad though some one will figure it out I'm sure.
